Thank you to all of the wonderful brides for stopping by our booth at Premier Bride’s Weddings the Bridal Show this past Sunday! Its always a blast, but this year was even more fun.
The next several months of your wedding planning might get overwhelming at times. Believe me, we were in the same boat 9 years ago when we were planning our wedding. I told a few of you that I did not enjoy my experience at a Los Angeles Bridal Show because there was so much going on, I had no idea what to do. Anyway, I was telling the story of going to a bridal show with my 2 best girlfriends and my Mom and Jonathon says to me…”‘I was there too!, Who do you think took the pictures?” oops! I was definitely overwhelmed. We walked around and I was in a daze. The thing I remember the most was going to Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank for lunch afterwards. I came home from the show with a huge bag emblazoned with a hula dancer and the word “Tahiti” scripted across it (for some reason my Mom still had that bag last month!). Anyway, the bag was full of everything that I had thrown at me, that my friends picked up or that I blindly grabbed and tossed in the bag as well. When I got home I threw away about 90% of it and kept only what looked good. The days of internet research were not where they are today so I called a few people with questions and eventually put the remainder of what was in the bag in the back of my closet. I did not feel like looking at any of it. It was all too much. When I say that, I don’t mean just about the money. It was just that there were so many decisions to be made and quite simply, I was overwhelemed. We heard this word so much on Sunday. Hopefully yesterday, you were able to get some rest and think about what inspired you from the show. Seriously, take some time to write down what means the most to you. If there is something that you feel that you have to have and want more info, by all means, give them a call and set up a meeting. There is nothing that says you have to make all of your decisions right away, but you may realize that once you get into it, what you thought was important vs. what was not as important, may shift and you can happily cross those things off the list. There is my 2-cents. I hope it helps, but even if it doesn’t at least now you know a little more about me (oh and the fact that Jonathon was a dutiful fiance :)
The image above is of one of our most favorite brides, the beautiful Candace. Candace came by our booth yesterday with some of her friends who are preparing for their weddings. It is always great to see her and we are looking forward to an amazing Trash the Dress session with her later this year, so watch our blog for that!
Without further ado…we had our first winner picked by none other than our 5 year old son N! N likes Legos, Ben 10, and Indiana Jones, but he really wanted to be a part of this years bridal show. So in an effort to make him feel a part of the business, we let him pick the winning entry from the hundreds of brides that entered. Now, those of you who read us regularly, know that we have two other children: H (aged 7) and S (aged 2 1/2). Well, H and S got upset and convinced us to give away TWO MORE exclusive engagement sessions so they they could each choose a winner. (I know, we’re kinda pushovers
)So we drew THREE NAMES and we will be announcing the THREE winners this week.
And the first winner is
…Congratualtions Taura Riley. You have won an exclusive Jonathon Campbell Photography Engagement Session. Please comment or give us a call to let us know that you are claiming your prize!
Make sure you check back later this week because we will be announcing 2 more winners in the next few days!!
