I think that Newborn shoots are so wonderfully moving. There you are, just days after a miracle has occured and you get to be a part of that early life and family, even if for only a couple of hours. This Nashville family made us feel so welcome and gave Jonathon & I free reign to just capture the moments as we saw them. These next few are just while McKenzy was just hanging out with Mommy.

Once asleep, we just had to put her up on a shelf. You know, normal stuff you do with a newborn ;)

Since she was snoozing away, perfect time for another…

There is no rush, no time clock that we punch. The baby pretty much takes the lead on the shoot. If she has to stop to be changed, we wait and if she needs to be fed, we wait. During that time, we get an even better chance to get to know the family and in this particular case, spend some time with siblings. Big brother, Gavin had no problem sharing his toys. Just check out his amazing set up. There were trains, trains and more trains. You can see on the backwall, Mom painted a chalk chair rail. How cool is that?

Most of the time I had to be dragged away from her big brother because all I wanted to do was play with his cool stuff. Jonathon was envious. Then we got to spend more time with little sis..

I don’t think I need to tell you how cool our job is…thank you for letting us in!
If you are interested in a newborn session, please call at least 2 months in advance to schedule a session. We understand that due dates change (we had 2 of our kids 5 days early and our third decided to arrive 3 weeks early!) When that happens, we simply change things around to make the session convenient for you. Now offering newborn and first year packages.
