A Fun Night with Friends

jcpblog200905070001

There is more to being a photography couple than meetings with brides, photo shoots and weddings. Jonathon and I often get to hang out with some of the coolest people here in Nashville. We have made some great friends lately, including many of the wonderful engaged couples that we get to photograph later this year. Louise is one of our special brides. She takes the cake for creativity and excitement. She recently started blogging to help her get through what she calls” a muss of planning”. From her mission to find the perfect dress and DIY veil to her thoughts on baking her own wedding cake, her blog is both touching and hilarious. Whether  you are engaged or already married, me thinks you should check out  Louise’s blog The Thirty-Something Bride. I admit to being one of her blog stalkers.

One of the things Louise was trying to cross off her checklist was her decision to purchase wine in bulk and bring it in to her wedding location- Mere Bulles. Last night, we hooked up with Louise, fellow wedding blogger  and Bridal coach Liza, the lovely Ashley of Ashley’s Bride Guide fame and Tabitha from Life A La Mode. It’s a small world and it turns out that we are all connected in some way.  Jonathon and Tabitha both went to the same College- small world!!  I am pretty sure this is not the last I’ve seen of these wonderful ladies. At least not if I have anything to do with it…

With much chit chat and getting to know each other, we sampled several wines. While I do not have an educated palette, I have seen the movie Sideways and I also do not care for merlot, so I had THAT going for me. My personal favorite was a Chilean white Puerto Viejo Chardonnay. This can be purchased at Frugal Macdoogal here in Nashville. We had a great time and hope that Louise can now confidently solidify that part of her wedding planning. We were glad to help!

Now about the pictures. The one at the top of this post was taken by Jonathon. Clockwise from the top Left, we have Ashley, the elusive Candyman, Liza, Louise, Tabitha and me, Sharon.

This one below was taken by me, so that’s Jonathon on the left.

May 8, 2009 - 11:19 am Tabitha - I had SO much fun last night, it didn't even feel like 4 hours had passed! Really really glad Louise invited me to join in and I'm so happy to have met you and Jonathon. His being a fellow Alum is a bonus. We'll definitely get together again soon!!

May 8, 2009 - 12:25 pm Liza - I LOVE the photos - excpet for the ones where my face is all wonky, but they're still great. Jonathon was certainly right about that lens making a great photo. Based on the lighting last night, I NEVER would have expected a photo like that color one! And, I LOVED meeting you. We MUST get together again! Oh, and not to be obnoxious, but I'm a bridal coach, not a marital coach. :) Subtle yet important difference.
