Yesterday, in the middle of Monsoon like rains, I drove out 30 minutes west of Nashville to Pegram Tennessee. My friends Amy and Jen have started a new business – The Woof Waggin’ Board and Biscuit. It is widely considered Cheatham County’s Best Spot for doggy daycare & boarding.
Their opening last month was the culmination of many years of dreaming, thinking and planning. I have really been inspired by their story. So many people talk about starting their own business but very few actually put it all on the line and actually do it. It seems perfect for their up and coming area. They drafted a business plan, bought a building, assembled a staff, and are really off to a terrific start.
Their business is really motivated by a love for puppies. They are genuinely concerned with taking care of puppies while finding ways to give back to the community.
Anyway, one of the things that their business does is rescue dogs and help to find them new homes. Last week, Amy pulled three dogs off of death row and asked me if I would come out and take some adoption pictures of them.
